Will you go back with your ex gf?

Before u on with her, every1 else ask you not to be so stupid.. she's just a prettyface.. rotten inside 1.. so fragile sumore.. she'll control your everymove everything also have to get her permission.. She is the special one.. she doesn't like you mixing with other friends.. u can only mix with her friends...she forces you to use iTunes..can't even use wmp... what a gf.. once u want to send picture via bluetooth to another girl, she doesn't allow!!! only can bluetooth with her!!!

But still... you love her so so much.. the moment you see her, u fell in love with her instantly.. she's so so pretty.. you have not seen any other girl as pretty as her...

Her skin is so smooth.. u like to swipe swipe her skin... She responded to you as if she can read your mind.. and she is so 'friendly' too.. so easy to get along with.. even your 3 year old nephew likes her...

U became blinded by love...you want to be with her 24/7.. u became addicted to her.. you can spend hours with her just doing nothing... its so nice to take her out just to see her..see what she has to say... even when she doesn't ask you to... you want to explore every part of her.. you want to buy everything for her.. clothes, jewelleries, whatever in the market thats compatible with her... Few times she fell while walking, you were so so saddd.. you even bought her protective clothing.. don't want her to scratch her prettyface...everything you do you think of her, think for her..

Soon you are so used to her that you can tolerate all her weakness... all the crap... you think that you are gona be with her forever... even if she changed for better or worse, u r gona stick to her forever.. you can't imagine yourself downgrading yourself to other ugly girls with 'black' skin and lots of pimples on the face...skk.skk..

But one day... she just gone missing... missing without a word.. a week b4 valentines day...you are convinced that some other guy had stolen her from you... arghhh... your heart was crushed..how come? why now?? you have it all planned for valentines..cant she just wait till after that?? whyyyyyyy??? you have so many other problems.. the last you want is your gf to dump you... You can't eat.. you can't sleep... you can't do anything without seeing her... you keep seeing her things around you... her hairdryer, her usb cable, her clothes, her battery charger... all kenot use liaoo...

When you are with friends, you are fine.. but when they are not around, you think of her again... (reeli dono wad to do while waiting for fren lei.. normally keluarkan iphone 1..grrr end up pandang ceiling...) you don't know how dependent you are on her until u lost her... damnn.. I still miss herr!!! miss her calculating skills, miss her voice... still kept a foto of her in my wallet:
Once, you met her on the streets, you felt like you fell in love with her all over again... then you saw another guy holding her hands.. swiping her.. you got so jealousss.. she's not yours anymoreee...arrrrrrr... its time to let go...

After awhile, comes another girl...cute and exciting... not as pretty as ur ex-gf, but steady.. she let you do whatever you want, as long as you are happy... she doesn't tie you down to her.. she's so understanding.. so nice.. everything about her is good.. you so far din find any weakness yet... but still.. have you gotten over your ex-gf? you are not sure.. is she the rebound gf???

You hear from a friend that she has broken up with that guy and might be back in 2 months time... but you have just started to fall for this new girl... is looks really that important? will you dump her and wait for your ex-gf to come back? but afterall, she was the one who left you in the first place..isit worth it?

Sometimes in life, it doesn't matter how much you love a person.. being with it once is enough.. why not give yourself a chance, try stg new.. stg exciting rather than go back to the same old gf.. so many 'SMART' and pretty girls out there...for what you know, u might learn to love your new gf more.. your new gf might not be as pretty, but I am sure she has good character.. and cheaper to maintain..haha.. noneed to wait wait.. tarik harga tarik harga..

After much considering, I've decided today to on with the new girl... so I went and look for her everywhere... but can't find her!!! (babi.. all kedai out of stock... for 3 pay as you go.. orange network ada but got branding.. voda also no stock.. cpw mahals.. arghhh)...

Am I too late? did she on with some1 else already??

Finally I found her!! standing infront of the church... hehe..but its her friend's wedding..not hers... so I told her I love her.. and I want to make her mineee...

and she is now MINEEEEE!!!!!!! My Desire tercinta...

If only choosing gf like choosing hp.. if i tak suka can still jual and beli iphone..hahaa.. sakit is wallet, not hati...

This is where...

This is where...
It happened... (a cosy cafe on Brick Lane...)

Someone noticed me even as I walk in...

too happy to be back to civilization.. too relaxed.. i thought that... i am finally safe...

After a simple meal at the nearby simple malaysian restaurant Jasmine Kitchen,

where the 'Penang Laksa'

is actually not 'penang laksa'...

and the 'penang chicken rice'...

is actualy not THE Penang Chicken Rice...
(Its plain rice with chicken and oyster sauce.. n broccoli.. )

and the baked potato with cheese...

well, is baked potato with cheese...

But still sedap la.. reasonable price and fast.. thats her concept.. n the owner is from Penang herself!!..

We were looking for a nice and relaxed place for our usual afternoon tea.. after scoping few coffee shops, we came to this 1, so called recommended cos its so chilled...

Yeah, we all agreed... music was great, sofa was comfortable.. carrot cake was good.. coffee was good...

I thought that the lights were too dim...

Add ImageProbably easier for some ppl to be in action... Everything was great up till...

huhuhu... my baby phone got stolen.. right here.. maybe as this picture is taken.. din even realise until we were about to leave.. The DJ was very unhelpful but one of the waiter was very nice to help us look for it under the chairs etc.. but deep inside I knew that its bye forever...

Still in iPhone withdrawal.. probably looking for a rebound phone..

It becomes a compulsion already to look at the phone every 5 minutes.. now I feel so empty inside.. when your friend go to the toilet, normally I wud take out my phone n look.. now??? I start to notice the pictures on the wall, notice the plants, the flowers.. mayb its a good thing to notice things around..

Volcanic ash aftermath...

'Volcanic ash keeps 41000 stranded at Delhi and Mumbai airports...'

This is the news that I've been getting everyday in Kathmandu since 14th... Everyday you hear so many stranded stories..

First 2 days still acceptable, because the international rules say that airlines have to provide accom and food n my flight is on the 21st Kathmandu - Delhi - London with Jet airways, still some time to go.. hopefully things clear up by then...

As days goes by, Day 6 and passengers are still stranded in Delhi airport!!

People are suffering from heatstroke, and its difficult for them to even get water.. N those without India visa were were forced to leave the hotel to wait at the airport, some were grounded in hotels, some had their passports suspended by jet airways and don't know how to get them back!

The transit lounge was over crowded, ppl don't even have place to sit, n you are cut out from the world, cos NO INTERNET!!! siao liaooo.. how laaaa!!! I don't want to be threatened to be arrested at night because no visa and passport, don't want to be sandwiched at the airport become monster panggang.. noooo...

Flight status on 20th night: confirmed...

But it was like that for the flights the day before.. but flights on 20th all got canceled in the morning!

I could not even check-in online! no printer, no internet... cyber cafes close during powercuts, n finally when it opens, printer not running.. wtf..

7am Kathmandu airport: As soon as I walked in, few ppl were walking out...
'It is not possible to fly, flights delhi-london got canceled..'

The most spoken phrase in Kathmandu : 'It is not possible, its not possible...'
1 major rule: when they say that, it simply means it is possible, you just have to try harder...

Some passengers got persuaded and just left the airport for hotels (once you do that, bye bye liao... I'm surprised that those people left..unless you have a week to spare... the next available flight is 8th May!! hell no, my visa expires tomorrow and I have finals exam coming la )

8.00 am Kathmandu airport: The check in counter finally opens... They would not even let us fly to Delhi, because the flight might be canceled...and we do not have Indian visa, so the max that we can stay is 24 hrs n they might send us back to KTM.. But they have been issuing landing passes for those who are stranded.. no, we are not trusting anything that he say anymore from the moment he told us that the flight was canceled..

'You would rather get stranded here than in Delhi...'
(erm... Dai, who are you to decide where we want to get stranded?)

We all knew that the condition in Delhi is hell as hell, but that's the only key to returning to UK... if the flight decides to go today and we r not in Delhi... we will miss our only chance to get back..

Thinking that we are stupid, they don't want us to get to Delhi for that reason, so that even if the flights are running, they could use our seats to clear the back-logs..

8.35 am Kathmandu airport: Trying to convince the counter staff that 'THE FLIGHT IS NOT CANCELED YET...' you can't deny us a flight that is not canceled yet..

8.40am KTM airport: The staff then gets her senior, whom then gets his senior... and finally we had to wait for their 'manager' who is supposed to come at 9am, but din turn up till 9.35am...

He is then unable to convince us also.. with all the ' we will give u the priority to fly tomorrow bullshit'... Things get more nasty.. 'Yes, we will bring this to court and if you deny us this flight it is against the rules, and we will make you lose your job..' bla bla.. n there's one guy that worked for BBC took out his card n promised that this will be on the news tonight..

He went off to make a few phone calls.. which we wonder if he is ever gona come back...

There is a lady whom flight was canceled on the 17th and she has been to the airport every single day and yet not allowed to fly...

After all that, at 10.30am we begin to lose hope.. the flight was at 1045am...we are already making contingency plan.. wad if.. The next thing we expect then is him coming back and say that the flight is gone, it is not possible now...

But, he finally came back at 1040, and CHECKED us all IN!!!!!!!... wohooo... and not only to Delhi, all the way to LONDON HEATHROW!!! We were all rushing because apparently seats will be opened to the rest at 1030am in delhi.. We still couldn't believe that this is happening..

As the first guy walked away with his boarding pass, the whole crowd gave him a loud cheer and applause...

We all knew that there are thousands of people waiting in Delhi but if we miss this chance, we will be last on the list to fly back.. It is still acceptable if your flight is canceled due to natural disaster, but not if you are denied a flight because you assume that it is going to be canceled.. and he dare say 'we can't work on assumption that it is going to fly..' oh, and that lady earlier, she din get to fly in the end.. God knows when she is goin back...

Its on BBC news today, 'who is given the priority to fly now that the flights are running?'
'Passengers who have always been booked on a specific flight get priority'...

We are right after all...thats not the end.. now we are only able to get 1hr55 closer but we're not sure if the flight is really going to take off in Delhi...

When we arrived, we waited for a bit before someone came to take care of us..

I am not sure what is with the security but they checked our bags so many times.. even in KTM as well at least 5 times.. open close open close.. it feels like they were trying to find fault to deny our flight.. We all felt like any minute now they were gona say 'no, you can't fly'...

Wow.. all canceled except for ours...9w122.. if in Malaysia sure i buy 4D liao..

When we reached another security point, that nasty custom guy there refuse to let us enter..

'Your tickets are not valid.. it is Nepal Airlines and not Jet Airways ticket...'

OMG is this a prank from the beginning? just to get rid of us by giving us the wrong ticket?
Cant you see 50 of us have the same ticket how can it be fake? argh.. There is just no negotiation.. Flight 9w122 is making its final call for passengers..

We could see the gate from here, I feel like just running in and have security pointing guns at me.. haha.. crazy thoughts running through my mind..

Finally:
Its just there.. but Delhi is so so hot... they drove us to the flight with a bus..

I really pity those that were stranded there.. 40degrees

I spoke to some of the passengers who were stranded there since the first day.. and they were on the same flight as us...

Wow.. I am feeling so so lucky... Must be the 2 Buddha statue that I bought...
I only chose 21st april to fly because it is the cheapest.. and now I'm sure ppl will die to get my seat...

As soon as the flight take off, applause in the air again... same as we landed.. what a relief..

and all my luggage arrived!!
This is when you can see which airlines handle disaster better.. no offence, but Ryanair just close the counter at the airport.. no place for you to complain even.haha.. and BA getto stay in nice hotels, donating food to the rest...haha..

'namaste'

I'M BACK!!!

Tuesday 20 April 2010

Final Day Nepal... volcanic ash...

'All my bags are packed I'm ready to go...

I'm standing here outside the door...

I hate to wake you up to say good bye...'

Its my last day here in Nepal... bid my farewell to the ppl in the hospitals, exchanged presents..
A part of me cant wait to go back but a part of me will miss Nepal alot alot...

Well... my flight back to UK is tomorrow.. I've been checking the flight status everyday, n so far so good...

gona pray that it wont be cancelled due to the volcanic ash.. wind ar wind.. blow blow blow...
Its day 6 now, few flights have resumed.. so hopefully mine go smoothly..

adios, see u in London!

Nepal Day 17 (Pokhara)

continued...

Started the day with a relaxing breakfast.. such a great feeling to be able to wake up at anytime we want! Believe it or not, I've never been more discipline in my whole life.. I wake up at 5.30-6am everyday without fail.. n have morning tea at 7am, arrive at hosp at 7.45am..

Is this Lee Pei Pei? hell no.. no.. I am never a morning person...

Well, say nia can wake up at anytime, by 7am, my eyes r wide open..
Morning meal:

arrr.. have been craving for eggggss.. sunny side up with runny yolks..

they have all this here.. great restaurants, good food... we try not to have dhal bhaat for the whole 3 days! hhaa..
Next itinerary is the Peace Pagoda.. a stupa 1100m above sea level... wow.. I just realised there r many other peace pagoda's all over the world!

There are many routes to get there.. the 'scenic route', 'the bus route', the 'fast route'... but nyway, we took a boat over for 500 rupees per boat return.. n hiked up for bout 1.5-2 hours.. i realised how unfit I am..

Argh.. i've forgotten to mention an embarrassing thing..

'I brought my tripod all the way to Pokhara, but erm, left the adapter in Kathmandu'..grr like bring camera with no battery ... grr...

NO LUCK with my camera.. all the photos from the last post r all taken with cacat-ed camera...
Half way there, we stopped to camwhore abit..hehe

notice the few black dots on the pics.. argh..wads wrong with my camera..

We finally reached the top.. vertically challenged again, can't over the walls.. have to climb climb..

I noe we're not supposed to fight at a peace pagoda...haha...

Namo amitabha.. om mani pad me homn..

On the way back, we picked up a French lady on the way n she went back with us on the boat..
N its sunsett.. cooling n cools...
n that's when we spotted Doede!!.. he's supposed to be back in Kathmandu yesterday!!..
What a coincidence that we decided to land there and he decided to go down to the dock for a smoke..hahaha...

ok, again, dhal bhaat time.. chao chao...

to be continued...

Monday 12 April 2010

Nepal Day 16 (Journey to Pokhara)

Din get a chance to blog till now.. I took 2 days off to go to Pokhara, a lake city 200km to the west of Kathmandu.. Promised to have clearer air, cleaner environment and if we're lucky, might getto see the mountains!!...

Took the bus instead of flight, bcos its damn cheap la.. 350 rupees, about 3pds.. plus get to see 'view' erm..
The bus was supposed to take us 7 hours, departing at 7am... but...
The view along the way wasn't great also la.. whole Kathmandu so hazy.. out of Kathmandu still hazy..

Just 3o mins out of Kathmandu, we were goin down hill, down n down when we spotted this:
p/s: picture was not great cos of the haze..

Ou ou.. not sure if its a good decision to take the bus.. After that, the traffic jam started...for dont know what reason..for very very very long.. ppl start to climb out of the bus, walk around, get into other ppl's buses, etc..

We ofcourse join the crowd.. took some pictures too..

After 10 hours, we finally reached Pokhara.. n 1 hour b4 that, we finally gave up hope that the air is suddenly gona turn to clean air...

As soon as we arrived, we were surrounded by ppl trying to offer us taxi, accom, etc.. hmm, nearly forget that pokhara is a touristic town.. we met a couple on the way n they took us to the place they were staying..

Which is again, cheap.. 250 rupees a night...
It was about sunset when we arrived, but I could not take pics of itttt.. bcos i fell on the streets, n i think must have hit my camera.. sob sob.. if u noe me, my camera is my life!!! argh..

After much fiddling, its the lens thats abit faulty, everytime i turn on it made some old engine sound... n i couldn't use AF.. but other than that, still usable.. so i switch to manual focus n continued using..haha..This is the Phewa Tal... the main lake here.. where the whole tourist town surrounds it..

Time for Dhal Bhaat...

to be continued...

Sunday 4 April 2010

Nepal Day 11

After a week working in a VSN clinic, today's supposed to be my first visit to Kantipur Hospital (private hospital).. and Bir Hospital (government hospital).
Woke up at 6.30, tried to shower, but nope.. no power hence no water...

'Life in the capital city has become difficult for the public, around 95 percent Nepalese citizens spends life under candle light...'

Well yes.. due to the shortage of electricity, we have about 12 hours of electric cuts every day.. n the water pumps need electric to work as well.. Some houses have their own generator if they can afford it.. candle light can be quite romantic, but still doesn't work for the water pumps.. n my electrical gadgets don't work with candles...

Cant wash hands, cant pangsai, cant mandi..

So I waited n waited finally came at 9am.. the thing is I don't even know when it comes when it goes.. so its hard to charge fone, hard to charge camera..

Now I realise I alwiz took things for granted.. electric n water has never been a problem to me.. at least not since the 'Water Crisis' in Melaka in 1991...

So ppl, b4 boosting ur heater, b4 showering for 1 hour, think of the ppl in nepal...

I've been here for 11 days now.. n u know what, I still dont know where to throw my rubbish!!!

I've been throwing them into a plastic bag in my room.. n when I go out, I keep the rubbish till I go back and throw in that same plastic bag.. Where do ppl here throw their rubbish?? I have never seen a single rubbish bin here in Kathmandu..

This is the main city lei.. what about the smaller towns??

Ppl here just bring it to their backyard n burn them.. hence the air pollutions..

Ok, better stop complaining, back to my hospital visit.. after a quick visit to the Kantipur hospital, we went to the Government Hosp:

Well, its like any public hospital you can imagine.. Crowded, dirty, dark, many many beds in 1 room...

After that we went to collect some keys that Sugandha sent to duplicate.. n its still not ready.. this is why:

They r doing it manually.. takda mesin, ntg...
Afterthat, Sugandha brought me to this heaven:

Proper Ice-cream!!! and bakery!!!

Seldom you get bakeries here without tonnes of flies on it... and proper ice-cream instead of some road side ice lollies that most probably used air longkang to make..haha..

So I had some ice-creams....

pistachios and rum and raisins...

Sugandha din't want at first, but after seeing my icecream, he got 1 for himself as well.. reminded me of Helen's father.. with the mint and chocolate chips..

I miss Malaysia now... I want breadstory... I wana eat chicken floss bread..
I went back n told Patrick about the ice-creams I had and he got so jealous..hohoo...

Saturday 3 April 2010

Nepal Day 6 - Bhaktapur day!!

This is one of the place that we reeli look forward to go.. n our 'tour guides' promised that we could go on the bus this time.. I reeli mean ON the bus.. cos we alwiz see this on the streets:

n remember the road that we took on the 2nd day? the roller-coaster one.. we're going pass there.. hmmmm..
Oh..the buses are supposed to be on strike today.. but we were just gona try our luck.. n I guess we're lucky..

Challenging to even get up cos erm.. i'm abit da vertically challenged.. notice the smoke at the side.. I'm sure 0.9% of my lungs is filled with that now..

somehow reminds me of riding a camel.. u have to hold on tightly at first. but after that... picture time!!

N u pay the same price as the inside ppl...

We're supposed to pay to go into Bhaktapur, but Bishal knew a backlane road that could bring us in for free..coolss... B4 we start, we stopped for food first.. I had some chilli mo-mos.. sedapss..
N we stayed in PEPSICOLA for almost a week now n we DIDn't drink any Pepsi yettt:::::
Hence;
Pics abit the dark.. but as usual, all the food stalls no light 1.. daylight saving konon...

This somehow reminds me of a street in Melaka.. maybe hollan kuei or kpg pantai.. 20 years ago..

Bhaktapur is quite nice la, relatively cleaner.. n nice old buildings.. the Durbar Square:

This is the tallest temple in Kathmandu...

about 5 storeys i think.. we could climb up to get the view of the place:

and some singa-singa..
There are so many temples, I cant remember the names liao.. Just simply throw batu also can kena temple...

Oh, and Bhaktapur is famous for 1 thing: King Curd (stg like yogurt called dudu dhau)

B4 we went, 3 days ahead ppl started ordering that.. n we r not allowed in the house without it..haha.. even Sugandha's wife said: 'Ma curd manparcha'.. okei.. we'll try to bring back as much as we can carry.. 2 fella wanted to pay us. but no la.. later no curd dipukul mati..

Ya, but we managed to get a huge 1 each to share:

Patrick bought some fruits to go with it..

and as usual.. arrange nicely to take picture first..

They all biasa with my picture taking already.. every1 thinks I should print a cook book..haha..
Sometimes it feels like my camera is like nenek moyang: serve the camera first b4 I can eat... n camera picture have to be puas first.. if not kenot eat..

okies.. generally one of my favourite day... gnite
